Q: How do I change how my site looks?
A: If you want to change the colors, fonts, and design of your Haiku LMS class, you can use Haiku Skins.
Skins are pre-built design themes you can apply to your class. When you set up your class you can select the skin you want to use.
You can change the skin later by clicking the Manage Class button and selecting Skins from the drop menu, or you can click the Preview button and then click Skins at the top of the page.
It's important to note that as the the teacher of a class (i.e. when looking at a class you can edit) you won't see the skin's design, but students and parents will always see whatever skin you've selected and applied.
You can see what your class will look like to students and parents by clicking the Preview button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You can browse the site just as they would. When you're finished previewing click the Exit Preview button at the very top of the page to go back to the editing mode.
When you're in Preview mode (you've clicked the Preview button and are seeing what students and parents see) you may further refine the view by looking at only what is published. To do this click the View Published button at the very top right of the page. If you have a lot of Unpublished pages, those will no longer display.
When you're looking at a Published page, you can quickly Unpublish it by clicking the Unpublish button at the very top of the page.
You can click the View All button to see all pages regardless of their status.
When you're done looking at the preview click the Exit Preview button.

I am really disappointed that as a teacher I can only view the skin I chose for my class site in preview mode. It is simply uninspiring to look at my boring class website (green tones) with no skin while creating my class. What is the advantage of not being able to view the skin while editing?
Hello J. Michael,
We are moving to a 'unified' skin system (both teacher and student views use the class skin) with our next version of the skin editor, now under construction. This will address your wishes.
Best regards,
Bryan

I only have 5 choices for skins. How do I have more choices?
