When a teacher creates or publishes a class they are presented with an option to make a class "Visible to the roster only". This option determines whether or not the content in the Pages and Calendar sections of a class is visible to users who are not logged in. If "Visible to the roster only" is selected then users browsing to the page will be presented with a log in prompt instead of the desired page. After logging in the desired page will be visible.
Regardless of if the "Visible to the roster only" option is selected, student data contained within the other tabs such as Assess and Connect is not visible to users who are not signed in. In all cases, only the content relevant to a given user is displayed (e.g. only Joe Student can see Joe Student's homework and grades).
Inside of a class haiku LMS has four basic levels of access: teacher, student, parent, and guest.
